Physics improvements leave Beta & TaleWeaverCmd ships
Heya folks!
Today, the Physics and Batching improvements leave Beta, delivering some performance improvements and paving the way for many more.
More visibly however, we have three fixes and a new tool!
The fixes are:
- A fix that makes search keyboard shortcuts work again \o/
- The fix for the bug stopping recently-made TitanCraft minis from loading
- A fix for a small memory leak on startup.
And the tool, while rather niche, will be handy for some of you: TaleWeaverCmd
This is a command-line tool for creating TaleSpire minis. When pointed at a folder containing an .obj file, the requisite PNG texture files, and a JSON file with the right metadata, it will spit out a valid TS mini.
This is the same tool that TitanCraft uses in their desktop creature-builder app. They have been Beta testing for us, and their feedback has gotten things to a place that I’m now very happy to ship this to all of you.
In this release, we’ve shipped the Windows and Linux versions, and the macOS version is just about ready to go.
For those interested, you can find a folder named Tools in the directory Steam has installed TS to. The tool includes a README with the details you need to get going. Familiarity with TaleWeaverLite is beneficial, as the limitations are the same.
Until next time folks!
Peace.
