TaleSpire Dev Log 260

A little dive into the new building workflow. A bit of redundancy in this video but hopefully gives a decent sense of what Chimera Building feels like and how it improves on the previous iteration

We're moving into the later stretches of the Chimera Build. Chris drove down today for us to work a bit closer on being able to push out a testable version. Excited to get some hands-on feedback on all of this stuff soon.

Thanks for watching!

Thanks so much for the update!  Lots to love here, like the integration of clipping, but I'm also really jazzed for the new asset library.  As TS's assets continue to grow having an efficient way to index/search/retrieve is super important.

do you think you can release the EA on steam in spring?

I look forward to the new controls. It'll take me a bit to get used to but it looks like they have more versatility built in.

I look forward to the new asset management.

On tile sets like Moorgoth, the ability to use the Z and C keys to switch between tiles is great! I hope it gets extended to other tile sets eventually.

The "favorites" at the bottom of the Dragon build have some annoyances, but it looks like it might be removed from Chimera anyway.
-The favorites can't have hotkeys assigned to them.
-If you put a unique creature on the favorites bar, it doesn't place the unique creature when you use it; it places a non-unique version. After a session with 4 players, a lot of travel, and no double-backing, I came across a bunch of clones and it took me a second to realize what had happened.

I know you're all anxious to get it released. We're rooting for you!
