TaleSpire Dev Log 386
·Hello everyone! Uriah here, and I’m finally writing up a “Dev Log” for my position, which is a very different kind of development from the rest of the team.
The past few months have seen me primarily working on various things behind the scenes, most of which we don’t have much to discuss. However, here are the things I can give you news on:
#TSBuildShowcase
One of my first initiatives was to get us more active on social media. For a while, the team had wanted to showcase different builds and creators in various ways but never could find the time to put it together. Enter me. For the past few months, regular posts (Tu/Th @ Noon Eastern) have showcased builds of different varieties from all sorts of creators.
We’re trying to make sure we go about this correctly. Just because you’ve posted it on the internet does not mean we’ll post it around - we want to ensure we’ve got your permission! I’ve been reaching out to folks occasionally to get said permissions. TalesTavern took a moment to aid me in this by adding a profile setting - depending on how you’ve set that up, I know it’s okay without needing to reach out - or if it’s not okay at all! If you use TalesTavern, it’ll help me if you set that setting or leave a social link somewhere I can reach out to within your profile.
We aim to continue this for some time. There is endless creativity in the community, and we love to make sure you’re all appreciated <3.
Conventions
While there’s nothing on the books, I can say it’s something we’re starting to look into. What would it look like for BouncyRock to attend a convention? To have a booth with TaleSpire? What can we offer con-goers for an experience? What cons can we reasonably attend? We’ll need to answer many questions before we can start making concrete plans, but know that it is in our minds.
That being said, while BouncyRock won’t be at Origins/GDEX ’23 or GenCon ’23 in any booth capacity - I will be! I’ll be tooling around the conventions as an attendee, playing board games, going through True Dungeon, and generally being social. I may have some cheese & TaleSpire stickers from the last time, so if you say hello, you may get one!
Content Creator Partnerships
Content Creator Partnerships have been my dragon to slay. I’ve been looking hard at how we can cultivate meaningful relationships with content creators. Our goal is to identify opportunities where BouncyRock and content creators can join forces in a way that benefits the entire community. We’re not just talking about sponsorships here, but exploring various avenues of collaboration that enrich both sides.
Once we have a working concept for this collaboration framework, I will share it with you all as soon as possible to gather your feedback. It’s crucial to me that we approach this in a respectful and beneficial way to content creators. Therefore, your early involvement is vital. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on this, as I anticipate it will be the subject of a future log!
In Summary…
That wraps up this “Dev Log”. As you can see, while some of my work doesn’t always make the headlines, it’s all aimed at enhancing our community and fostering a more engaging environment for everyone. Whether showcasing your creative works, exploring the possibilities of convention appearances, or forging mutually beneficial partnerships with content creators, it’s all about nurturing the creativity and passion that make this community so unique. As always, your feedback and suggestions are warmly welcomed. Stay tuned for more updates, and until next time, keep on creating, engaging, and being the fantastic community you are. Happy gaming, everyone!

User ·I'm Brazilian, I speak Portuguese and we have a very large community in Talespire, but we encountered some difficulties, mainly with the translation, which makes access difficult for many people. So even if it's a simple translation using Google Translate, but it's in the game, which can help create content and tutorials to encourage and promote the game.
Which of course can be extended to other languages (Spanish, French, German, among others).
Another viable option besides monetary sponsorship of the game is making copies available to content creators for sweepstakes, subscribers, or pre-beta APIs to content creators.
